The Backwater Slam is a photo-catch-and-release fishing tournament with all proceeds benefiting the Riverside Missions. Cash rewards will be paid out to the top 4 teams with the longest combined length of one (1) Snook, (1) one Redfish, (1) one Trout, and (1) one Mystery Fish. Teams will also have the option to register for an additional $2,000 in bonus money. $500 will be given for each of the following categories. Big Trout, Big Red, Big Snook and Big Mystery Fish. With an entry fee of $395.00 per boat (bonus categories are optional) and a GUARANTEED cash purse of $6,250, you and your crew will want to get registered today!
This unique inshore fishing tournament allows teams (up to 4 anglers per boat) to launch their boat at any boat ramp, fish their favorite holes and text in photos of their catch via the Snook & Gamefish Foundation App.

Join us for the Riverside Church Backwater Slam Banquet, Auction & Awards Ceremony presented by The Porch. This fun-filled event features great food, raffles, silent auctions and the awards ceremony. Bid on the latest fishing equipment, fine art and great trips for the outdoor enthusiast.

Final registration for the Backwater Slam will take place at Riverside Church from 4:30 – 6:30PM. This will be your last chance to get registered and participate in The Backwater Slam. Following final registration will be the Captain’s Meeting from 6:30-7:00PM.
The Captain’s Meeting is mandatory and at least one team member must sign the attendance sheet and pick up the captain’s bag. Each team receives (1) Captain’s Bag, up to (4) angler entries, banquet ticket for each angler, measuring stick, tournament shirts and a (1) year membership to the Snook & Gamefish Foundation for each angler.
